Precision Rubber Rollers Built for Performance
At U.S. Rubber Roller Co., Inc., every roller we manufacture, recover, or repair is produced using a proven process designed to maximize performance, reliability, and service life. From incoming inspection to final certification, our team is committed to delivering rollers that meet the highest standards of quality and precision.
Our Proven Process
Every roller is thoroughly inspected upon arrival. Our technicians evaluate shafts, cores, journals, and critical dimensions to identify wear, damage, or opportunities for improvement before work begins.
Why it matters: Identifying issues early helps prevent premature failures and ensures the finished roller performs as intended.
1
Inspection & Engineering Review
Existing cores are stripped, cleaned, and prepared for bonding. If necessary, we perform shaft repairs, weld build-up, machining, and polishing to restore critical dimensions.
Why it matters: A properly prepared core is the foundation of a durable, long-lasting roller.
2
Core Restoration & Preparation
Unlike many competitors, we maintain our own rubber mills and produce custom compounds in-house. This allows us to control quality, consistency, and performance from the very beginning.
Why it matters: Better compound control means better roller performance and faster response times.
3
In-House Rubber Compounding
Rubber is expertly applied using controlled processes that promote maximum bond strength and uniformity throughout the roller.
Why it matters: Strong rubber-to-metal adhesion helps reduce downtime and extend roller life.
4
Precision Rubber Application
Rollers are cured in our steam autoclave under carefully monitored temperature, pressure, and time parameters specific to each compound.
Why it matters: Proper curing ensures consistent hardness, durability, and long-term performance.
5
Controlled Vulcanization
Using state-of-the-art CNC grinding equipment, we finish rollers to exact specifications, including straight, tapered, crowned, and custom profiles.
Why it matters: Precision grinding delivers improved product quality, tighter tolerances, and consistent operation.
6
CNC Precision Grinding
Every roller undergoes detailed inspection for diameter, runout, durometer, surface finish, and other critical specifications. Certification reports are available upon request.
Why it matters: Strong rubber-to-metal adhesion helps reduce downtime and extend roller life.
7
Comprehensive Quality Control
Finished rollers are carefully packaged to protect critical surfaces during transit. Our own trucks provide local pickup and delivery, helping reduce handling and shipping damage.
Why it matters: Proper curing ensures consistent hardness, durability, and long-term performance.
